Behavior Analyst Intern

Position Summary:
The Behavior Analyst Intern will be completing all Key Responsibilies under the “supervision and mentorship” of a BCBA. This is ideal for individuals pursuing a certification in behavior analysis. The Behavior Analyst Intern will gain experience and knowledge of ABA and the ability to demonstrate competency with clients, while implementing treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Interaction:
Assist in conducting behavior assessments (e.g. functional behavior assessments, preference assessments).
Support the development and implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans (BIP's)
Monitor and document client progress during therapy sessions.
Data Collection and Analysis
Record accurate data during client sessions using standardized tools and methodologies.
Assist in the analysis of behavioral data to evaluate intervention effectiveness.
Provide input to the supervisory team for adjustments to therapy plans.
Therapeutic Support:
Work directly with clients to implement evidence-based ABA interventions.
Teach and reinforce social, communication, and adaptive skills.
Use positive reinforcement strategies to promote desired behaviors.
Collaboration
Participate in team meetings to discuss case progress and challenges.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in intervention strategies.
Maintain professional and respectful communication with all stakeholders.
Training and Professional Development
Attend training sessions on ABA methodologies, data collection, and ethical practices.
Stay informed about developments in ABA practices and relevant research.
Adhere to ethical guidelines set by the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board).
Skills and Competencies:
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to diverse clients' needs
Strong interest in working with individuals with developmental or behavioral challenges.
Excellent organizational and data management skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment
Requirements:
Masters in (or no more than 1 semester remaining in the program)
Strong interest in working with individuals with developmental or behavioral challenges.
Currently be in supervision and have accrued a minimum of 1,000 hrs .
20hrs billable weekly
